Maps and Plans for Development Areas Along the Kitakami River

The set of maps and plans includes development of areas along the Kitakami river in Tohoku, such as flood prevention measures. In the most recent great earthquake and tsunami, this area was heavily flooded, so it has long been known that a tsunami posed a major threat to this coastal river that flows into Oppa Bay. There are ten drawings. The four smaller plans are housed in a wood box. These sketches and plans are the work of Kohiyama Mitsuyori whose name appears on the box.
