Information about the creation of the object depicted in the image: 1928
This site was once occupied by an orphanage built by the sisters of the order of St. Paul's of Chartres, constructed in 1864. The orphanage was rebuilt as a church, named after the Trung sisters, the legendery historical figures who led a rebellion against the Chinese in 40 AD. The church is located on Hai Ba Trung Street in District 3 in Saigon.
