Description
Beginning with an executive summary, this report is then presented in six sections.
Section I traces the historical development of the west side branch campus concept.
Section II Details support for the West Campus and presents demographic data which support an estimate of 5,000 student FTE by 1989-1990.
Section III identifies possible academic programs, discusses academic support services, and presents ideas regarding campus organization.
Section IV identifies needed student and institutional support services and suggests how cost savings can be realized through sharing of ASU - Tempe Campus Resources.
Sections V and VI present computer models which suggest preliminary cost estimates for facilities needs and five year operating costs in formats which can be adjusted for a variety of assumptions.

Description
In April of 1985 the Arizona State Legislature affirmed their support of the ASU West Campus Plan, described in this document, by appropriating $9.5 million for year one design and construction. The ASU West Campus Plan will provide order to physical improvements in the future. It is intended as a flexible framework to guide campus development consistent with a conceptual idea. No buildings have been designed; examples shown are purely illustrative.

Description
This memorandum from Theodore A. Ferris, Staff Director of the State of Arizona Joint Legislative Budget Committee, to Senator John Mawhinney and Representative Sterling Ridge discusses the lease purchase financing that the state was trying to pass to build ASU West. In particular, the issue was raised that by using this option, ASU West would be built only two years ahead of the proposed schedule, but at an additional cost of $57 million.

Description
This item, with handwritten edits, is an opinion paper concerning the state of the lease purchase option following, or just prior to, the passing of House Bill 2037 that would help the ASU West Campus, which was being built using tuition and fees, and was many years behind its schedule for completing the construction of its core facilities, by foregoing the usual "pay as you go" plan, and use the lease-purchase option to get back on, or ahead of, schedule.
