This silent color motion picture documents the last Colorado River boat tour before the construction of Glen Canyon Dam. This invitational event featured Governor Paul Fannin of Arizona, Governor George Clyde of Utah, National Park Service personnel, and several other Arizona public officials and special guests. This trip began in Hite, Utah and ended at the present day location of Glen Canyon Dam. It was organized and led by Art Greene of Canyon Tours Inc.

This tape shows Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson introducing dignitaries; Tom Chauncey introducing Governor Paul Fannin; and speeches by Governor Fannin, dinner chair James Minotto, Senator Hayden, and President Kennedy. This tape includes a description of President Kennedy's arrival at Sky Harbor Airport; Governor Fannin introducing President Kennedy; a speech by President Kennedy; Tom Chauncey introducing Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Sylvestre Herrera, Arizona dignitaries, and Vice President Johnson; and a speech by Vice President Johnson, including his memories of Speaker Sam Rayburn.
