A Target Industry Analysis provides the strategic framework for public policy by identifying those industries that share the demand for a similarly educated labor pool, supply chain or customer base. It’s a method utilized by economic development organizations to understand the market and align their limited resources in order to more effectively create jobs, brand, and market their community and region. This targeted industry analysis focuses on the southern portion of Mohave County, where the majority of the population and economic activity is concentrated. The three distinct regions analyzed for this study included Bullhead City/Laughlin, Kingman, and Lake Havasu City.

Grace Neal Parkway and Bank Street are located in the northern Kingman area partially outside of the Kingman city limits. This report discusses of creating a new arterial roadway providing safety and convenience for vehicular traffic and pedestrians. Although Grace Neal is referred to as a parkway, its designation for design is arterial.

The focus of this sub-regional study is the roadway system in an area of southern Navajo and Apache Counties bounded by the Town of Pinetop-Lakeside in the south, the Town of Snowflake in the north, Pulp Mill Road to the west, and the Concho area in Apache County to the east.

This report summarizes published reports and public datasets pertaining to the subsurface hydrology of Sopori Basin. It includes descriptions of the hydrogeology of the basin, recharge, the number and type of wells, well installation frequency, changes in water levels through time, shallow groundwater areas, groundwater pumping, grandfathered irrigation rights and water quality. Data sources and limitations also are discussed. This report is intended to provide a broad understanding of the groundwater conditions in Sopori Basin based on existing information.

In fiscal year 2012, Laveen Elementary School District’s student achievement was similar to peer districts’ averages, and the District operated efficiently overall with lower costs per pupil than peer districts’, on average, in all operational areas. Despite operating efficiently, Laveen ESD spent 21 percent, or $751, less per pupil in the classroom than peer districts, on average, because it received less funding primarily because it had a lower poverty rate and fewer special needs students. In fact, the District had nearly the lowest overall per pupil spending amount in the State. Although the District operated efficiently overall, it needs to better ensure that its bus drivers meet all certification requirements and it may be able to reduce its plant operations costs by further reducing the amount it pays for custodial services.

Pima Association of Governments updated a portion of the Water Usage Along Selected Streams in Pima County, Arizona, which PAG created in 2000. The updated report and datasets show current potential water usage in these critical areas. Deliverables include the shapefiles, spreadsheets and maps that accompany this memorandum. The purpose of this report is to provide updated information about the location and pumping history of wells located in Pima County near shallow groundwater areas, generally located near drainages.

Covers an area in southeastern Pima County that drains the Arivaca Creek watershed. The purpose of the report is to estimate peak discharge for the 50 year storm frequency event, utilizing the rational method (Q=CiA). This method pre-dates that outlined in the Hydrology Manual for Engineering Design and Floodplain Management within Pima County, Sept. 1979, and is considered less accurate. It is recommended that this report be archived and discontinued for use for regulatory purposes.

The Flecha Caida study area encompasses approximately eight square miles of the foothill region of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The three major washes studied include Finger Rock Wash, Valley View Wash, and Flecha Caida Wash. One tributary (Sky Club Wash) to the Valley View Wash and three tributaries to the Finger Rock Wash were also included in this study.
