The Arizona State Board of Nursing established a pilot program “to determine the impact to patient health and safety of allowing nursing assistants…and acting as pilot study medication technicians to administer medications under educational requirements and conditions prescribed by the board." The pilot study involved 6 long-term care facilities throughout the state.

The Arizona State Board of Nursing requests an annual report from all Arizona pre-licensure nursing education programs. The report includes student admission data, characteristics of graduates, and other information.
