The Maricopa County Annual Report of Community Indicators is intended to provide citizens and stakeholders with information and an analysis of key community indicators and County government activities that reflect current conditions in seven priority areas identified in the County Board of Supervisors’ 2005-2010 Strategic Plan.
This bond funded program differs significantly from other County capital improvement projects which typically include detailed information specific to each project when the bond proposals were developed. It utilizes its designated bond funding for specific community based projects via an open and continuous application process and under the oversight of advisory bodies appointed by the Pima County Board of Supervisors.
The Neighborhood Reinvestment Program has been in existence since the 1997 Pima County bond election established General Obligation Bond funding for construction of small scale capital improvement projects to be selected through a neighborhood consensus process. Specific projects are recommended by the citizen committees to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
The objective of the State of Arizona's non-entitlement Community Development Block Grant Program is to further the development of viable urban and rural communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income.
