The Arizona Department of Transportation, in coordination with Apache County District II and the Fort Defiance Chapter of the Navajo Nation, analyzed the traffic circulation conditions of Navajo Routes 7, 12, 54, 110, and 112 within the Fort Defiance Industrial Area which is designated as a major growth area on the Navajo Nation. The study was funded by the Federal Highway Administration’s State Planning and Research Program and administered through ADOT’s Multimodal Planning Division's Planning Assistance for Rural Areas (PARA) program. The study was initiated to develop a planning strategy to improve the mobility and safety within the Fort Defiance Industrial Area.
The initial step in the Master Plan Update for Tucson International Airport is the identification of a series of goals and objectives that will establish guidelines for the planning process. These goals and objectives reflect the input of the Tucson Airport Authority, the Long Range Planning Council, the Airport’s Planning Advisory Committee, and the Airport’s Consultants. The Goals and Objectives will ultimately form the framework for evaluating the recommended long-range development plan and ensuring that the on-going development of the airport is consistent with the airport’s overall strategic objectives.
This update of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Master Plan has been undertaken to evaluate the airport's capabilities and role, to review forecasts of future aviation demand, and to plan for the timely development of new or expanded facilities that may be required to meet that demand. The ultimate goal of the master plan is to provide systematic guidelines for the airport's overall development, maintenance, and operation.
The San Xavier District of the Tohono O’odham Nation is home to approximately 2,000 people. Numerous others come to the District to visit the San Xavier del Bac Mission Church. The San Xavier District Pedestrian Access and Safety Study is being prepared to improve the walking and bicycling environment on the San Xavier District for Community members and visitors alike. The study is being funded by the Arizona Department of Transportation Multimodal Planning Division’s Planning Assistance for Rural Areas program.
An analysis of housing in Yuma, Arizona, to profile demographics and employment, review public housing policies, examine fair housing complaints and lending practices for housing, and develop an action plan for Yuma to address impediments to fair housing choice.
An update of the City of Yuma's infrastructure improvements plan for its parks and recreation, fire, police, general government, and streets facilities. The update is needed to comply with changes in Arizona Revised Statutes regarding the development (impact) fees that municipalities can assess.
An update to the City of Yuma 2002 general plan, to assess fire and emergency medical services provided by the city, forecast needs for the next ten years, and detail how the city will serve those future needs.
A master plan for bicycle facilities in the city of Yuma, giving an overview of existing facilities, outlining elements of the new master plan, and providing standards and phased goals for the new facilities.
This plan was undertaken by the Arizona Department of Transportation Multimodal Planning Division Aeronautics Group to evaluate and recommend a terminal area layout to meet anticipated terminal area demands.
