The purpose of this study is to provide flood and erosion hazard information for Soldier Canyon Wash for use by the District in floodplain use permitting and and floodplain management.
Assessing and addressing the public’s changing needs is a challenging task. The Health Department uses a variety of measures to evaluate program accomplishments while holding itself accountable to the taxpayers. The economic challenges faced by the County and its residents require the Department to rely more on quality improvement approaches to maximize the limited resources. Here are some highlights of the Health Department’s achievements in efficiently providing needed public health services.
This study identifies the drainage and flooding hazards within the watershed and develops alternatives to address those hazards. It is a comprehensive study that estimates flood and erosion potential, maps watercourses, identifies existing and potential problems and develops preliminary solutions and standards for sound floodplain and stormwater management.
These studies was performed to provide drainage, flood, and erosion hazard information for Hacienda del Sol Wash and an unnamed wash running along Hacienda del Sol Road. Topographic, hydrologic, and hydraulic analyses were performed to determine drainage conditions.
The Pima County Outside Agency program provides funding to non‐profit entities to serve economically and socially disadvantaged populations through social service programs. The Pima County Board of Supervisors establishes funding limits for the program and grants are awarded to agencies through a public committee process.
The objective of this Technical Data Notebook is to provide 100-yr peak discharges at a Concentration Point for the Unnamed 02 and 03 Washes, 100-yr floodplain boundary and erosion hazard information, using the most up-to-date topographic, hydrologic, and hydraulic data. From 2010 to early 2013, under the leadership of the Pima County Health Department, organizations and community members engaged in a comprehensive community health assessment and improvement planning process. The goal of this intensive, community-driven process was to examine the current health needs of Pima County residents and determine how to best address them.
