Anza Park, established in August of 2007, is located within Avra Valley adjacent to and west of the Town of Marana boundary. The park consists of approximately 280 acres located along both sides of the Santa Cruz River. This area is a riparian oasis that supports a rich diversity of native plants, birds, and other wildlife, especially as compared to adjacent lands that are biologically depauperate due to decades of intensive agricultural use.
The Floodplain Management Act of 1973 authorized Arizona counties to adopt rules and regulations concerning management of floodplain areas. The Pima County Board of Supervisors, which sits as the Pima County Flood Control District Board of Directors, organized the Pima County Flood Control District on June 5, 1978. The District is responsible for floodplain management activities for unincorporated areas in Pima County (with the exception of national forests, parks, monuments, and Indian Nations) and for the City of South Tucson.

This plan is an action agenda that avoids the long-term strategic planning platitudes and broad generalizations that sound good but do not achieve a great deal. The steps presented in this document are ones we can take in the near term, over the next two years or so, that will provide the foundation for long-term economic growth and stability.

The Drug Court Team strive to provide the best probation services to participants, the court, and the community. This report also contains the results of a two-year Deferred Judgment outcome study.
In about 60% of the cases sentenced in Pima County, the offender will be placed on supervised probation for an average of three years. Protection of the community is always the primary consideration when determining a supervision program. To ensure long-term protection requires motivating the offender to change those factors that contributed to criminal behavior. Based on empirical research conducted by social scientists, certain dynamic factors are common to offenders and are targets for change.
The Arizona Superior Court in Pima County is the second largest superior court in the state. By statute, the court is entitled to the appointment of one judicial officer for each 30,000 persons living within the jurisdiction of the court.

This Technical Data Notebook has been prepared in support of a Letter of Map Revision submittal to amend the 100-year floodplain, or Special Flood Hazard Area associated with Finger Rock Wash in Pima County, Arizona. The purpose of this LOMR application is to revise the effective Flood Insurance Rate Map SFHA boundaries based on updated and more detailed information. No new hydraulic structures are present within the study limits.
