The primary need for these realignments is due to the planned airport expansion at Tucson International Airport. The purpose of this report is to compare various alignment alternatives for the realignment on the basis of access, cost, right-of-way, and floodplain impacts.
The purpose of this study is to (1) develop a fundamental understanding of the problems that exist, and (2) perform a cursory examination of possible management approaches identifying those that appear most plausible for further consideration.
This conservation plan is the coming together and the coalition of a lot of issues that had the opportunity to germinate into what it is today, partly a Multi-Species Habitat Conservation Plan. A part of it is just a general conservation plan of many planning elements that the County has been involved in over a number of years.
Pima County is blessed with a rich and varying record of human settlement over the 11,000 years representing prehistoric, Spanish Colonial, and Mexican-American influences in our history. The County's archaeological site is the building of structure with traditional cultural values and historic landscapes are all nonrenewable cultural resources.
