The purpose of this study is to provide flood and erosion hazard information for Soldier Canyon Wash for use by the District in floodplain use permitting and and floodplain management.
The Drug Treatment Alternative to Prison (DTAP) Program enables drug addicted criminal defendants to plead guilty to an offense and then enter a residential, therapeutic community treatment system for three years as an alternative to a prison sentence. The Program begins with three months of in-patient, residential drug treatment followed by wraparound recovery support services managed by a resources specialist, including transitional housing, literacy services, higher education, job training and placement services, and counseling, accompanied by drug testing, probation monitoring, and regular court hearings.
This study identifies the drainage and flooding hazards within the watershed and develops alternatives to address those hazards. It is a comprehensive study that estimates flood and erosion potential, maps watercourses, identifies existing and potential problems and develops preliminary solutions and standards for sound floodplain and stormwater management.
These studies was performed to provide drainage, flood, and erosion hazard information for Hacienda del Sol Wash and an unnamed wash running along Hacienda del Sol Road. Topographic, hydrologic, and hydraulic analyses were performed to determine drainage conditions.
The Pima County Outside Agency program provides funding to non‐profit entities to serve economically and socially disadvantaged populations through social service programs. The Pima County Board of Supervisors establishes funding limits for the program and grants are awarded to agencies through a public committee process.
"The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has been ... developing freeway travel times for the last several years on Phoenix metropolitan area freeways. Travel times in the region were first developed by the AZTechTM partnerships. ADOT loop detector data was used and the travel time algorithm was tested and validated on I-17. In January 2008, ADOT initiated a pilot project to display freeway travel times on selected dynamic message signs (DMS) in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The Travel Time Pilot Project included travel time messages being displayed on 12 DMS ... These sign locations were intended to be visible to the largest number of freeway weekday commuters on the most heavily traveled freeway corridors in the Phoenix metropolitan area. An evaluation of the pilot project was conducted to identify if there were any impacts to freeway speed, mobility, or crash rates. An integral part of the evaluation also was to obtain user feedback on the Travel Time Pilot Program ... The objective of this Technical Data Notebook is to provide 100-yr peak discharges at a Concentration Point for the Unnamed 02 and 03 Washes, 100-yr floodplain boundary and erosion hazard information, using the most up-to-date topographic, hydrologic, and hydraulic data. This is a local study and has not been submitted to FEMA.
