The principal purpose of Phase One is to identify acquisition priorities for the development of a trail network for pedestrians, equestrains, bicyclists, whole access (handicapped) users, and other non-motorized trail users.
Pima County’s Southwest area has been identified by County planners as a potential and strategic growth area. To accommodate population growth, the existing infrastructure must be improved and expanded. The purpose of this Infrastructure Plan is to provide a basis for infrastructure decision-making related to development in the Southwest area. It quantifies the nature, phasing, financial impacts, and funding possibilities for those flood control, parks and recreation, transportation, wastewater infrastructure and other improvements that are necessary to service future saturation growth within the study limits.
This report is a summary of the Pima County Community Health Assessment that was conducted in 2011. As facilitator, the Pima County Health Department examined existing data describing the community, surveyed residents and stakeholders about their perceptions of the health status of Pima County, and presented these findings to the Community Health Assessment Taskforce. The community members who comprised the taskforce evaluated the information and identified five priorities that would make a significant positive impact on the health status of Pima County residents.
From 2010 to early 2013, under the leadership of the Pima County Health Department, organizations and community members engaged in a comprehensive community health assessment and improvement planning process. The goal of this intensive, community-driven process was to examine the current health needs of Pima County residents and determine how to best address them.
The Drug Court Team strive to provide the best probation services to participants, the court, and the community. This report also contains the results of a two-year Deferred Judgment outcome study.
This plan is an action agenda that avoids the long-term strategic planning platitudes and broad generalizations that sound good but do not achieve a great deal. The steps presented in this document are ones we can take in the near term, over the next two years or so, that will provide the foundation for long-term economic growth and stability.
Anza Park, established in August of 2007, is located within Avra Valley adjacent to and west of the Town of Marana boundary. The park consists of approximately 280 acres located along both sides of the Santa Cruz River. This area is a riparian oasis that supports a rich diversity of native plants, birds, and other wildlife, especially as compared to adjacent lands that are biologically depauperate due to decades of intensive agricultural use.
This report was prepared to document surface water hydrology and floodplain conditions in accordance with current standards of practice. This information is intended to support issuance of building permits, re-approval of construction drawings to current standards, and issuance of floodplain use permits, if needed.
Originally, the purpose of the study was to obtain either a Letter of Map Revision or a Physical Map Revision from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Unfortunately, during the initial stages of the investigation, it became apparent that FEMA's guidelines for these types of map revisions could not be accommodated, primarily due to flow-distribution conflicts.
