The Arizona Department of Transportation, the Arizona Game & Fish Department and the Arizona State Parks Board are required to conduct a study every three years on watercraft fuel consumption and recreational watercraft usage. The fuel consumption data is collected to determine the allocation of motor vehicle fuel tax to the State Lake Improvement Fund. The information on recreational watercraft usage patterns on Arizona’s lakes and rivers is necessary, in part, to determine the distribution of SLIF funds to applicants.
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality asked the Arizona Department of Health Services to evaluate the health threat to residents from exposures to ash fallout from a fire at an asphalt plant located on the Salt River Indian Reservation in Mesa, Arizona. The facility has recently been bought by Vulcan, Inc. The site is located just north of the Salt River between Dobson and Alma School Roads. April 13, 1999.
The purpose of this human health risk assessment is to determine the extent and likelihood of adverse health effects that could occur as a result of human exposure to chemicals that may have been deposited in homes following the August 31, 1992 fire at the former Quality Printed Circuits facility.
The purpose of this report is to document the evaluation of the public health effects of the air emissions from the Central Garden and Pet Supply Warehouse fire that was verbally provided during the response efforts to the fire event. The facility contained a variety of lawn and garden supplies including pesticides, herbicides, and pool maintenance chemicals. The fire also involved a portion of a pharmaceutical supply firm which contained medical supplies ranging from liquid and pill-form medicines to sterile syringes and other physical supplies.
