Letter from W. W. Bass to Carl Hayden requesting the boundaries of the park be reconsidered as a large portion of the land is suitable for mining and farming.
Letter from Carl Hayden to W. W. Bass concerning the passing of the national park bill. Hayden states that he will try to make the bill as advantageous to Arizona miners and farmers as possible, but the land will either remain as a national monument or become a national park. A postscript is added concerning the land allocated for the Havasupai Tribe.
Mission: To regulate and support Arizona Agriculture in a manner that encourages farming, ranching and agribusiness, while protecting consumers and natural resources.
Amendments to the bill establishing the Grand Canyon a National Monument. Circa 1908.
Reports on the development of a reconnaissance level numerical groundwater model of the Davidson Canyon and Cienega Creek watersheds. Includes recommendations for data that must be collected prior to completing environmental analyses for the proposed project.
The Augusta Resources Corporation proposes to construct the Rosemont Mine project in the northern Santa Rita Mountains. This report is a reconnaissance analysis of the conceptual flow and water balance in the area. The conceptual flow model for the area is based on topography, geology and precipitation and identifies the likely flow paths in the watershed and aquifer system. The water balance includes estimates of recharge to and groundwater flow from the area; there is no evapotranspiration discharge from the regional groundwater.
This report is intended to revise the previous watershed hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for the proposed extension of Camino Del Sol Road. This study is necessary because of significant land use changes within the watershed.
