Mission: To regulate and support Arizona Agriculture in a manner that encourages farming, ranching and agribusiness, while protecting consumers and natural resources.
The proposed action is the construction and operation of a new multilane freeway in the metropolitan Phoenix area extending approximately 22 to 24 miles from Interstate 10 west of Phoenix to Interstate 10 southeast of Phoenix. The facility would be the final extension of State Route 202L, an element of the Maricopa Association of Governments' adopted Regional Freeway and Highway System.
METRO has received a Finding of No Significant Impact from the Federal Transit Administration that signifies METRO has complied with all federal environmental laws. To document any potential environmental impacts of the project, METRO prepared an Environmental Assessment for the Central Mesa extension of light rail on Main Street to Mesa Drive in accordance with requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.
