The Greater Phoenix Blue Chip provides quarterly consensus projections on general economic indicators and key construction measures from economists and real estate analysts and executives in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The construction forecasts are compiled in cooperation with Elliott D. Pollack and Company, a leading economic and real estate consulting firm based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The study was developed by Gila County cooperatively with the Arizona Department of Transportation, Central Arizona Association of Governments, and the Tonto National Forest. In addition, area residents’ and stakeholder input was solicited and incorporated in the study through public participation efforts. The purpose of the study has been to develop a 20-year transportation plan and implementation program to guide Gila County in meeting transportation needs into the future. Roadway and multimodal improvements were identified to address deficiencies and needs to improve mobility and safety in the County. The study also identified how and when these improvements should be implemented and funded. This long-range multimodal transportation plan is intended for use in day-to-day programming and funding of transportation improvements. In addition, transportation improvements have been prioritized to maximize project benefits within budget limitations.

Alameda-Stone Cemetery, commonly called the National cemetery, was used as Tucson's first cemetery from about 1860 to 1875. It was the direct successor of the cemetery inside the Tucson Presidio. The City of Tucson closed the cemetery in 1875 in anticipation of the coming of the railroad and the sale of the cemetery land for residential and commercial uses. In 1881, the city directed that all burials be removed from the National Cemetery and re-interred at the Court Street Cemetery. However, many burials were not removed before the land was subdivided and developed. These volumes document the archaeological investigation of the area from 2006-2008 before construction of a new court building.

Volume I: Facts
Analyses of Arizona state government finance, using data of the Arizona Joint Legislative Budget Committee, and of the combined finances of all state and local governments within Arizona, using data of the U.S. Census Bureau. A historical perspective is provided for both datasets. For combined state and local government finance, comparisons are made to other states and to the national average. In addition, other measures of the tax burden by state are examined.

Volume II: Concepts and Issues
Addresses the conceptual and empirical relationships between taxes, government revenue, and economic growth. Also discusses current issues specific to Arizona state government finance. This is a revised version of the report "Tax Reductions, the Economy, and the Deficit in the Arizona State Government General Fund," incorporating new and updated material.

Volume III: Options for Managing the Arizona State General Fund
Presents options and offers recommendations for managing the Arizona state government general fund. The near-term budget deficit is addressed as well as ways to prevent budget deficits from recurring every time economic growth slows.

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) has prepared this report on the health status of Arizona women to highlight its commitment to the health and wellness of all Arizonans throughout the lifespan and its focus on prevention. It is the intention that the data contained in this report will serve as a baseline and that, in future reports, we will see progress toward creating a healthier Arizona.

This brief includes mortality data with an underlying cause of death coded to ICD-10 codes X20-X29, and hospital discharge data coded to ICD-9 codes 905.0-905.9. The hospital discharge data only include information from private, acute-care facilities. Data from rehabilitation hospitals, urgent care centers, or federal facilities, including Indian Health Services or Veteran’s Administration facilities, are not available.

The data presented in this report show that poisoning is a public health problem that impacts the lives of thousands of Arizona residents each year. These injuries can occur throughout the life span, and like so many injuries, poisonings are predictable and preventable. Understanding the circumstances of poisonings is an important step towards educating and empowering communities and implementing prevention strategies.

As one of the largest Federal block grant programs, Title V is the key source of support for promoting and improving the health of all the nation‘s mothers and children. Each year, all states are required to submit an Application and Annual Report for Federal funds for their Maternal and Child Health Services Title V Block Grant to States Program to the Maternal and Child Health Bureau in the Health Resources and Services Administration.
