The primary purpose of this study was to develop a plan that enables the Town to facilitate safer and more efficient infrastructure for the traveling public and guide the development of the Business District. This study recommends phased improvement projects to address the multimodal transportation needs of the community, while steering community development and project funding. The study findings will also be incorporated into the Town's Capital Improvement Planning process for the next 5-, 10-, and 20-year time frames.
The purpose of the study is to assist counties, cities, towns, and tribal communities in addressing a broad range of multimodal transportation planning issues including roadway and non-motorized modes of travel. The principal purpose is to evaluate existing transportation deficiencies, recommend needed improvements, and develop a transportation plan to accommodate and guide future growth. The study will result in a Major Streets and Routes Plan that will serve as a guide to the development of the Town’s roadway network that will be constructed to meet anticipated development in the Town.
The Yuma Regional Transit Study identifies transit needs within southwestern Yuma County and presents recommended transit system improvements based on three funding scenarios. This study examined current and projected population, demographics, and employment for the region, conducted extensive public outreach and data collection, identified transit deficiencies and developed recommended transit improvements based on the identified deficiencies.
This plan responds to key trends, emerging issues, and community visions and goals. The Plan includes strategies and actions for the years 2020 and 2040 to address identified transportation needs, while being sensitive to possible future funding constraints. This Final Report provides an overview of both the study effort and the work products developed throughout the planning process, which forms the basis for the final plan recommendations. The planning process analyzed the existing transportation system, land use and socioeconomic conditions within the study area; conducted in-depth local stakeholder interviews; developed future growth projections; provided opportunities for public input; and included an evaluation of alternative future solutions.
The La Paz Transportation Planning Study was conducted as part of the Planning Assistance for Rural Areas program sponsored by the Arizona Department of Transportation Multimodal Planning Division. This Study developed 5, 10, and 20-year transportation plans, as well as an implementation program, to guide the County, Towns, and the Colorado River Indian Tribes in meeting transportation needs for the Study Area into the future.
ADOT, in cooperation with the City of Kingman and Mohave County, initiated the Kingman Area Transportation Study Update to update the 2005 Kingman Area Transportation Study. The study provides a plan of improvements for 5-year (short-range), 10-year (mid-range), and 20-year (long-range) transportation planning horizons. The recommendations are multimodal, considering roadways, nonmotorized transportation modes (bicycles and pedestrians), and transit components.
The Arizona Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Lake Havasu City, conducted a long-range corridor study for Mesquite Avenue, McCulloch Boulevard, and Swanson Avenue (referred to in this document collectively as the Corridor). The study looked at ways to support and enhance this revitalization by developing a vision for the Corridor that balances the City’s Main Street Uptown District goals with the need to accommodate future travel demand along each road in the Corridor.
The Pima County Department of Transportation in cooperation with the Town of Oro Valley and the Regional Transportation Authority proposes to widen approximately 5 miles of La Cholla Boulevard from a two-lane arterial roadway into a four-lane divided arterial roadway between Magee Road and Tangerine Road. During Phase 1 of the proposed project, PCDOT will lead the preliminary roadway design for the entire corridor and will design and construct the roadway improvements from Magee Road to Lambert Lane. During Phase 2, the Town of Oro Valley will complete the design and construct the roadway improvements from Lambert Lane to Tangerine Road.
This study is to update the current plan entitled "Unified Nogales/Santa Cruz County Transportation 2000 Plan." The local governments need a fresh look and new approach to developing their transportation plan. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to create a useful, workable transportation system planning document that contains a realistic and achievable program for implementing transportation system improvements throughout the city and the county.
