"The Hopi Senom Transit Program has been operating for the past twenty-two years to provide public transportation on the Hopi Reservation and local border towns to the general public and employees of local governmental and private sector agencies. The service area includes the Hopi and Navajo reservation areas and Flagstaff. Boundaries and major communities of the area served is Keams Canyon, Tuba City, Flagstaff, Leupp and Kykotsmovi. Currently, the Hopi Senom Transit Program operates two fixed routes providing service five days a week. Service is provided on schedule between Kykotsmovi and Moencopi, and Kykotsmovi and Keams Canyon. Vanpool transportation for Tribe employees is provided Monday through Thursday between Flagstaff and Kykotsmovi. This vanpool style service is open to the general public, but is used primarily by Tribe employees. The Public Transportation Section of the Multimodal Planning Division of the Arizona Department of Transportation is charged, among other roles, with administering transit programs including the Section 5311 Rural Transit Program ... The Five-Year Implementation Plan will provide a roadmap for transit services on the Hopi Reservation. In addition, a matrix of tasks and responsibilities will provide a framework for the Section 5311 Program to maintain management oversight of the rural transportation programs. The Multimodal Planning Division (MPD) of the Arizona Department of Transportation has been tasked with identifying corridors throughout the state where improvements to the transportation infrastructure supports the greatest potential commercial and economic benefits. These "Key Commerce Corridors" represent a strategic statewide approach to leverage infrastructure improvements to enhance Arizona's competitive economic position. This document presents the basis for the identification and evaluation of the Key Commerce Corridors.

The 2015 Disparity Study is now complete and available for review. It analyzes the utilization and availability of minority- and women-owned firms by race, ethnic and gender group to determine whether there are disparities in the past utilization of those firms in ADOT contracts. Keen Independent conducted disparity analyses for FHWA-, state-, FAA- and FTA-funded contracts. The Disparity Study also includes analysis of in-depth interviews with business owners, trade associations and others. Keen Independent included information in the Disparity Study for ADOT to use to develop overall DBE goals for FAA- and FTA-funded contracts and a refined goal for its FHWA-funded contracts.

In June, ADOT released a Draft Disparity Study and conducted a 45-day public comment period from June 8 to July 20. ADOT held public hearings in mid-July in four locations around the state on the Draft Disparity Study and Final Proposed Goal.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) operates a transportation library. The mission of the ADOT Library is to provide ADOT employees with the published information they need to carry out their job responsibilities contributing to a safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation system in Arizona. Historically, ADOT's librarians have used professional judgment to decide which materials to add to the collection. This research is the first formal investigation to determine the information needs of ADOT staff and the role of the Library in meeting those needs. This study has provided information regarding: (a) the information needs of the ADOT staff, including the means by which they currently obtain the information they need; (b) preferences regarding access to Library services and resources; and (c) awareness and use of the ADOT Library. Findings from the study also provided insights into the role of transportation libraries, the extent to which ADOT Library practices align with acknowledged effective practices in transportation libraries overall, and opportunities for ongoing improvement and enhancement of Library operations, communications and marketing efforts, customer service, and valuation. Recommendations were developed to facilitate delivery of ADOT Library services in fiscal periods characterized by severe budgetary constraints and limited resources as well as in less constricted fiscal periods permitting continued investment in ADOT Library resources (staff, collection materials, information technologies). The research findings can be used by ADOT to inform strategic and contingency planning efforts and will enable ADOT to make data-driven decisions regarding the Library collection and services.
