(Bottom photo) Commander and vice-commander of the 4th Regiment of the New 4th Army Storm Guerrilla Detachment north of Hankow (Hankou). This Regiment was made up of local peasants, fishermen and artisans. Both commanders were sent by the 8th Route Army from the far northwest. I was in the field with this regiment for one month.
