This is a membership license of Cuba Chinese association. The holder's name is Huang Wenfen. On the first two pages is a record of medicine shopping, including dates and amount of money. On the last two pages is the record Huang's relatives. His wife had died in his hometown and his younger brother was living in Guangzhou at that time.

A membership license of Casino Chung Wah Association in Havana, the holder's name is Huang Zhiwen. On page 1 is the serial number of this license, together with the holder's photograph. On Page 2 is Huang's personal information, including name, gender, date of birth, address in China and address in Cuba. Page 3 and 4 are about medicine shopping record. On page 5 and 6 there is a list of names of Huang's relatives, and there gender, age, relationship, job and address.

This compilation of documents represents Onofre's request to either be naturalized as a Spanish citizen, or to receive his permission for permanent residence in Cuba. The documents included are his first contract, baptism certificate, personal ID card, and his request for residency, among several other personal documents. The first page in this selection is the written request for his permanent residence of naturalization, and the second to last document is the acceptance of his request for permanent residence.1863.

The documents that are included in this selection are Calderin's official request for his carta de domicilio that was signed on June 26, 1866, a rehire request that was signed in 1855, and five separate certifications of contract completion and good conduct that were written by his past owners.
