How can we as physicians, working in health systems that are becoming increasingly process driven and disease-focused, maintain human dignity and a patient sensitive approach? I will argue that traditional values in family practice still offer us the opportunity to meet and focus on the modern needs of individuals and communities rather than on the needs of the health care industry.”
