This update does not alter the intent of FRP30; it is only concerned with correcting errors, removing legal vulnerability, and improving the readability of FRP30.

The State Highway System includes 6,801 route miles of roadway and of this about 88% of the system's roadways are situated within rural areas with the remainder in urban areas. The Board has broad authority to plan and develop Arizona’s highways, airports, and other state transportation facilities.
