    • The Kanahedon Chūshingura is based on the Forty-seven Ronin Incident that took place in the 18th century. Ōboshi Yuranosuke is the hero of the story and represents the historical figure Ōishi Kuranosuke, Lord Asano’s chief retainer, who carefully and deliberately plotted to avenge his dead master.
