- On the first page, after the title, is written between brackets the sentence "Dedicado al Excmo. Sr. D. José Manuel Balmaceda. Pdte. de Chile" ("Dedicated to the excellency Mr. José Manuel Balmaceda. President of Chile").
- José Manuel Balmaceda (July 19, 1840 - September 19, 1891) was President of Chile (1886 - 1891).
- On the last page of this piece, beside the composition date, are written the words "Hacienda La Fortuna, Sonsonate, República de El Salvador".
- Some pages show transfer ink from the reverse opposing page. Some of them are damaged.
- All pages are numerated in roman numerals.
