In this survey, we have obtained early photographs from various archives, with dates ranging from 1880 to 1942. We have attempted to provide examples from the main vegetation types that are represented in Pima County. This survey of matched photographs will begin at upper elevations and descend gradually to lower points across the landscape, except that riparian habitat comparisons will be set aside and addressed separately.
