This collection houses born-digital materials received with the J. Eugene Grigsby Jr. Papers (MSS-430), including memoranda addressed to Consortium of Black Artists and Others for the Arts (COBA) Board members, artist statements for works included in shows at Central High School and Maryvale High School, and an essay in which Grigsby discusses his decision to move his family to Phoenix and his work teaching art at Carver High School between 1946 and 1954.
