Arizona State and Local Government Documents Collection
The State and Local Arizona Documents (SALAD) collection contains documents published by the State of Arizona, its Counties, incorporated Cities or Towns, or affiliated Councils of Government; documents produced under the auspices of a state or local agency, board, commission or department, including reports made to these units; and Salt River Project, a licensed municipality. ASU is a primary collector of state publications and makes a concerted effort to acquire and catalog most materials published by state and local governmental agencies.
The ASU Digital Repository provides access to digital SALAD publications, however the ASU Libraries’ non-digitized Arizona documents can be searched through the ASU Libraries Catalog. For additional assistance, Ask A Government Documents Librarian.

This study proposes to reduce flood damages from both Tanque Verde Creek and offsite flows, as they affect the Fortyniner's Country Club Estates and the Arbor Vista subdivisions.
The purpose of this study is to revise the existing Flood Insurance Study and Flood Insurance Rate Maps for a portion of the Canada del Oro Wash. This information will be used by Pima County to update existing flood plain information.
The Floodplain Management Act of 1973 authorized Arizona counties to adopt rules and regulations concerning management of floodplain areas. The Pima County Board of Supervisors, which sits as the Pima County Flood Control District Board of Directors, organized the Pima County Flood Control District on June 5, 1978. The District is responsible for floodplain management activities for unincorporated areas in Pima County (with the exception of national forests, parks, monuments, and Indian Nations) and for the City of South Tucson.
Under the Transportation Conformity Rule, transportation control measures are strategies that will reduce transportation-related emissions by reducing vehicle use or improving traffic flow. Tucson Water's Valley View Reservoir site and Flecha Caida Ranch Estates #9 has experienced numerous drainage-related problems,including inundation, erosion, and limited access during the rainy season. A portion of the reservoir site and approximately one-half of the subdivision are both located in the 100-year flood plain.
This report presents the results of an engineering analysis performed to assess the existing potential for flooding and erosion along Green Valley drainageway #9 and presents conceptual plans for recommended improvements. This study extends from La Canada Drive at the downstream end to the La Canoa Land Grant Boundary at the upstream end.
This study identifies the drainage and flooding hazards within the watershed and develops alternatives to address those hazards. It is a comprehensive study that estimates flood and erosion potential, maps watercourses, identifies existing and potential problems and develops preliminary solutions and standards for sound floodplain and stormwater management.
